It's pretty special to stay with us - but don't take our word for it see what others have said.

My stay at Jude and Pierre's place was fantastic! I stayed in Darwin to be close to Death Valley for my visit. Their spot was close enough to the park to be convenient and much cooler than the park itself. They had everything I could have wanted on my stay and more. The place was exactly as described and everything was neat and organized. The best part for me was their hospitality. They were so sweet. Jude took me on a local sunset walk with a great view (she is an amazing and interesting woman!) and they both checked in on me regularly to make sure I had everything I needed. Would highly recommend. Tracey - October 2021
Darwin is a unique place to explore and Jude and Pierre were wonderful hosts. The close location to Death Valley was perfect. We'd love to stay there again someday Lauren - September 2021
Our stay with Jude & Pierre was one of the best we’ve ever had! They know all the good spots to hit while visiting Death Valley, including some hidden gems! Darwin is a perfect hideout right on the edge of the park. Jude & Pierre are great company (their dog, Stanley, too)! Everything was exactly as described, and more. Tanner - August 2021
Darwin is such a cool little town and a great respite if you’re going to Death Valley or just exploring. Jude and Pierre are wonderful people; their property offers you a very unique stay I know I’ll never forget! Cory - July 2021
A must do! This cozy getaway is the perfect place to unwind and be tranquil. So close to death valley, but far and high enough to where it gets cool. Hoping to be back soon! Rafael - June 2021
This was a peaceful, fun, and memorable experience. Jude & Pierre’s home resides in the very quiet Darwin. The airstream and outdoor lounge area are adorably decorated. I recommend swinging on the hammock after the sun sets. There are not very many stores in the area. Before coming to Darwin I would advise bringing groceries to use for your meals and snacks during your stay. This is what we did and it worked out wonderfully! If you are looking for a place to unplug and clear your mind this is the place! Raymond - August 2021
I chose Jude and Pierre's place for my first visit to Death Valley, as I wanted to be fairly close to the park entrance but not at one of the conventional resorts in and around the park. If you're looking for a fun, adventurous and special stay - I'd highly recommend their spot. Jessica - June 2021
This was such a unique and special experience! Jude and Pierre were both so helpful and accommodating and interesting to talk with. The airstream was very comfortable, with A/C. Very comfy bed! The bathroom was just a pit toilet, and outdoor sink, but that was all part of the experience for me. The shower was great, it got nice and hot with good pressure. I loved all the artistic and quirky touches everywhere. I used the BBQ for dinner which was delicious and fun. And there was so much to see in the area. I hiked to Darwin Falls and highly recommend it! It was such a beautiful oasis in the dry desert. And yes it’s very DRY!! Bring moisturizer, sunscreen and saline spray for your sinuses! |

Jude & Pierre's is in a small secluded small town near Death Valley surrounded by Jude's amazing artwork. Darwin is a very safe and friendly place. Perfect place for stargazing at night. We had so much fun listening to Pierre's Darwin stories. He even showed us a great scenic view of the Death Valley nearby. We will definitely visit them again. Rexanne - April 2021
Truly a gem. Darwin is a special place, only made more special by Pierre & Jude. Wonderful hosts. The pictures are accurate, no surprises. Sarah - April 2021
Jude & Pierre’s desert home was an amazing get away for us! They were very hospitable, offering local tips and making sure we were comfortable, and the trailers we stayed in were comfortable and stylish. We highly recommend this place if you want to get away from the city! James - March 2021
Really is an incredibly cool and unique stay for anyone looking for some peace and tranquility. The space was clean, beautiful, and had everything that you might need. Jude and Pierre were fantastic and friendly hosts, and I can’t recommend staying here enough. John - June 2020
Jude and Pierre are absolutely incredible hosts. Since returning from our trip (cross country road trip), I have told everyone to visit them. If you are in California or going to visit Vegas - GO TO DARWIN. It is a necessity. We surely hope to return. They are incredibly welcoming and the hospitality they extend to their visitors is second to none. Great people, great company! The days provide a quiet retreat from what has become a chaotic, busy life for most and the nights.....the pitch dark nights present a cosmic show unlike anything I had ever seen. Such clear skies lit up by the shine of stars and the moon. I could write a book on our one night in Darwin - but simply put it is this: 10/10. Absolutely stay here if you have the chance. You will not regret it for a second. -J&B from Peoria, IL Themo - June 2020
I planned a trip for my fiancée’s birthday - I wanted something unique, adventurous. Dyne - June 2020
Jude and Pierre were wonderful hosts and we had an unforgettable time. If you have a free spirit, or are seeking to embrace your inner free spirit, you will see it thrive here! It was comfy and we felt like we were whisked away into the 60s or 70s. Nicest outhouse I have ever been in, exceeded my expectations. An amazing experience. Tina - October 2019
Jude & Pierre are two lovely warm human beings who genuinely love people (and Kane the gorgeous lab) . They both make you feel very welcome and have additional tips & advice and little local walks around Darwin. Definitely take their advice and do the short hike to the nearby viewpoint which is simply stunning. Always wanted to stay in an airstream and this certainly didn't disappoint. The airstream to sleep and chill in; the retro camper to eat in. Plenty of space outside to relax and stargaze...and oh my the stars. Darwin is such an interesting place, an old gold mining town where you get a real sense of how it must have been 'back in the day'. Recommend reading the history of Darwin, such wild times! This really is a great place to 'get away from it all' and perfect location for exploring that section of DV - limekilns, Emigrant & Wildrose Canyons, Panamint Springs etc. Jana - September 2019
We stayed here after visiting Death Valley National Park. We were greeted by Pierre, Jude and Kane, their dog. Pierre showed us around our accommodations. My husband and I took a walk around Darwin and Kane joined us. Later on, Pierre started a bon fire and we shared some wine with them and made new friends. Pierre and Jude are so hospitable. And Jude's art work is so interesting and beautiful-- I purchased a treasure from her. Finally the highlight of the trip to Darwin was the stars at night. I've never seen anything like it before-- spectacular!! I am so happy I added my stay here as one of life's special memories. Peter - July 2019
Simply the best! I’ve stayed at many Airbnb’s across the globe and never had better and more interesting hosts. You will not be disappointed! |
